For many years we have worked on concepts and designs of what our new house, nestled in the heart of the rainforest in Noosa might look like. As a family based in Melbourne we have an extensive portfolio of houses we have built. We have cultivated a love of home-life, developing beautiful, sophisticated liveable spaces. Together with award winning Melbourne based architect Warren Foster and Interiors by Mim Design, we had finally put together the perfect brief and plans for our new home. The difficult part of the equation was to now find a suitable builder that could execute the project to the level of detail that we have already become accustomed to. This would have to be managed very differently to any other project as the residence and builder would be around 1800 kms away – so site visits would be few and far between.
SX Constructions were our first choice. They had already completed some projects in the local area and what impressed us mostly was the diversity of their building capabilities. No job was considered too big, too small or too hard. They were excited about different styles of building, using new materials that they hadn’t considered before coupled with a set of daunting plans that were extremely detailed. There was certainly no room for error or diversion on this project.
SX Constructions procures tradesmen who are efficient and accomplished in their field. Without exception, every member of their team is friendly, understanding, patient and knowledgeable. The building materials used were of excellent grade and quality. The results of which speak for themselves in the level of detail and the exceptional finish that was executed in our contemporary new build.
The site itself was not an easy one to work with and early unforseen dilemmas were handled professionally, quickly and above all with results driven clear communication.
Steve has an in-depth knowledge of construction and provides feedback with solutions rather than problems – which is what every client needs. His wife Simone provides superior administrative support to Steve and the client and co-ordinates all the products to be delivered on time and on budget. Steve and Simone together have helped to bring our dream to reality without any stress.
